Calico Jack’s Village Accommodations: Rates and Policies
Rates are in US dollars and are subject to Government of Belize hotel tax (currently 9%) and do not include gratuity.
In addition, please note the following:
- There is no charge for accommodations for one child 10 years and younger, with paid double occupancy.
- There is an extra person charge of US$20 per person (plus tax/fee).
- There is an extra charge of US$15 per night plus 9% hotel tax per air conditioning unit.
- There is complimentary cable television in the villas.
- There is a complimentary tour of our farm or birding tour.
- On Selected Dates, including December 21st – January 3rd, Easter Weekend and all Belizean holidays, a surcharge of US $10 per person plus hotel tax/per day is added.
- Belize citizens and residents may qualify for discounts. Contact us for details.

Call us for pricing for groups. We also have available accommodations and food packages in El Progresso Field Station for groups of 8 or more. Rates depend on the size of the group, length of stay, occupancy per room and number of meals.

For the dates shown below, there is an extra charge of US$15 per night plus 9% hotel tax per air conditioning unit.
Also. if your stay includes one or more of these dates, special package pricing or other seasonal specials are not generally available. Please Contact Us for a specific quote.

Calico Jack’s Village Deposit Policy
- A written confirmation must be received from Calico Jack’s Village to cancel or delay a tour or an accommodation reservation.
- For a room only reservation, a one night deposit is required upon booking to guarantee reservation. The balance is due 30 days prior to arrival.
- For direct bookings for packages, a deposit of US$100 is required.
- All prices are in US dollars. Packages do not include bar items, lunches, or CJV staff and guide tips.
Additional Taxes and Fees
- Government of Belize Hotel Tax, currently 9%
- 12.5% Government of Belize General Sales Tax on Goods and Services
- Please note that taxes are subject to change according to government policy and increases or decreases will be passed on to the client.
Reservation Changes and Cancellation Policy
- Changing a reservation: The first change is free. Subsequent changes are charged an administration fee of $25 each occurrence.
- On cancellations 90 (or more) days prior to arrival – 100% refund of payment less administration fee (6%).
- Cancellations 61 – 89 days prior to arrival – forfeit 25% of payment.
- Cancellations 31- 60 days prior to arrival – forfeit 50% of payment.
- 30 (or less) days prior to arrival – forfeit 100% of payment.
- There are no refunds on unused portion of any of the packages. Any changes in prices of 3rd party contractors will be added to the quoted package should these changes occur prior to your arrival. Third party contractors include, but are not limited to: Tropic Airline, Maya Island Airline, Taxi Services, Licensed Tour Operators.
- This cancellation policy applies to any reason for cancellation including airline delays, strikes, world events, acts of God (including weather), or personal or professional issues. Trip cancellation insurance is recommended (See additional information below).
- Please note that any funds forfeited will be credited towards a future stay or future tours at Calico Jack’s Village.
Trip Cancellation Insurance
We recommend that all passengers who are worried about risks when making reservations take out travel insurance as protection against these risks. Policies are readily available covering the following risks: Cancellation charges, loss or damage to baggage, medical expenses (including repartition) personal accident and death, personal liability, and loss of money or travelers cheques. The detailed conditions vary according to the policy selected. Travel insurance can be purchased through airlines, credit card companies, and travel agents.
